Did you know that most of our "allergies" come from over exposure to fragrances and chemicals found in our cleaners, air freshenders and laundry supplies?

Window and Stainless Steel Cleaner: 16oz

4 oz. distilled white vinegar
12 oz. distilled water

A Gentle cleaner: safe for eye glasses, and computer or TV screens when used with microfiber cloth. Check manufacture guidelines.

DIY shampoo

DIY Shampoo

1/2 cup coconut milk

2/3 cup Castile soap

15-20 drops essential oil  (see below for hair types)

2 tsp jojoba oi

1tsp vitamin E oil

Combine all the ingredients in an old shampoo bottle and shake well to mix all the ingredients.

Essential oils for dry hair: rose, sandalwood, ylang-ylang, lavender and geranium.

"Cold Killer" Herbal Tea

4 slices of fresh ginger root

1/2 lemon squeezed and throw the rest of that half right in

Local honey to taste (always use local it helps with allergies)

1 tsp cinnamon

1 cup hot water


Feel free to doctor it to your liking. However the 4 ingredients are what really helps a cold, cough or flu!

I just wanted to make you all aware that recently "Young Living" took down a post from someone's website. They didn't like that they were giving similer recipes to YL blends! They have copyrights on some blends and some of their names. However, most of the ingredients are easily found in their book. The same goes for Dotterra. If you want to know how to make your own blend similer to any of theirs just send me an email.

Here are 8 homemade vitamin water recipes:


1) lemon/cucumber:

Mix in a pitcher: 10 cups of water + 1 cucumber and a lemon, thinly sliced + 1/4 cup fresh finely chopped basil leaf + 1/3 of finely chopped fresh mint leaves. Leave in the refrigerator overnight before serving.

People keep asking me how to use individual oils for everyday complaints, so here is a resource I found to be simple enough for the novice. Please remember that proper use is the sole responsibility of the user. Always dilute essential oils into a carrier oil before using on skin. Avoid mucous membranes.
